Smoke Rise is located just east of I-65 in western Blount County, Alabama. Smoke Rise was originally formed in the late 1960s, and remains unincorporated. According to the 2010 census data, the population of Smoke Rise is 1,825 making up some 692 households. The approximate size of Smoke Rise is 6.4 sq. miles, so we enjoy large lots and ample space. The cost of living in Smoke Rise is 23.3 percent lower than the national average. Public schools serving the Smoke Rise population are in Hayden, just to the east.

The Smoke Rise Homeowner’s Association is a volunteer organization, which was formed in 1995, to serve the mutual interests of the homeowners in Smoke Rise. We help to enforce the covenants, represent Smoke Rise politically, and serve the community with special programs and events. We hold regularly scheduled general meetings on a quarterly basis. Membership in the Smoke Rise Homeowner’s Association is voluntary. Dues are $40 per year, which is one of the lowest membership dues for homeowner’s associations in the country.
